Create and customize classes

You can organize students into classes within your school team. Classes help you share learning materials and collaborate with specific groups of students.

If you're a teacher or admin, you can create classes for your school team.

Teachers and admins can rename classes in their school team. You can open your class from Settings or from the Classroom homepage.

From Settings

1. From the homepage, select your profile icon, then

• If you’re a teacher or admin in a roster-managed school, select My classes.

2. Go to the

3. Under the Name, select Edit.

4. Enter a new class name.

5. Select Save.

From the Classroom homepage

1. From the homepage, select
   Classroom.
2. Select
   Classes.
3. Select the class you want to rename.
4. Under People column, select
   More.
5. Select
   Rename class.
6. Enter the new class name.
7. Select Save.

All your classes and content are available within your school team. You can continue managing them from the Classes tab in Settings.

If you're a teacher or admin in a school team, you can create classes. Students can join classes but can't create them.

You can create as many classes as you need within your school team. Consider organizing by grade, subject, or teaching period.

You can update your team settings to allow other teachers at your school to find your team. They can then request to join. For step-by-step instructions, see School teams on Canva.
